Three years later, ‘The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard’ is almost ready to roll out. It is going to be such a delight to watch Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson and Salma Hayek together on screen again. The film kickstarted the shooting sometime in 2019, and it consists of beautiful shooting locations like- Italy, Europe, UK and Croatia and Bulgaria. However, fans will have to wait till the theatres can reopen to watch this hilarious action-comedy film with a bag of their favourite popcorn.
The film is directed by Patrick Hughes who gave us some fantastic action flicks like The Expendables 3, Signs and of course ‘The Hitman’s Bodyguard’. Tom O’Conner is the writer of this movie, and he has written the first part too. Some of his other works include ‘Fire with Fire’ (2012) and ‘The Courier’ (2020).

Release Date of The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard:
The film was initially supposed to release on August 28, this year, but because of you know what and why, the film’s release date has been pushed back to August 20, 2021.
The lead actress, Salma Hayek took to Instagram to unveil the cool new poster for the film, and she expressed her bittersweet feelings to her fans about the new release date of The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard.
Since she will be taking on a big role in this film, we can totally understand why she would be disappointed with the delay in release.

Plot of The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard:
The ‘Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard’ takes us three years forward in time after the events that went down during the first film. According to the official synopsis of the film released by Lionsgate, the sequel is “Set on the Amalfi coast; the mismatched, high-octane trio are unwillingly pulled onto the side of the good guys as they battle to save Europe from a vengeful and powerful zealot with a dangerously over-developed sense of national pride.” Michael and Darius join forces with an Interpol agent to prevent a cyberattack in Europe.
We know for sure that Michael Bryce stays on good terms with Darius Kincaid and the duo will be seen going on a rescue mission to save Sonia Kincaid, as her life is under a great threat.

Apart from the OG badasses consisting of Samuel L Jackson, Salma Hayek and Ryan Reynolds, we will also be seeing Morgan Freeman (yay), Antonio Banderas, Frank Grillo, Alice McMillan and Gabriella Wright in this movie.
