You now have a reason to smile as After Life Season 3 is speculated to come back to Netflix and we cannot keep calm either. Season 2 of Netflix’s black comedy-drama ‘After Life’, hits you harder than a wrecking ball as we see the show maker, Ricky Gervais chart the same path as season 1.
The ‘After Life’ follows the life of Tony Johnson, who lived a fruitful marital life until one day his wife dies of breast cancer. As he backs off from committing suicide, he decides to live a life long enough to punish people around him by doing what he pleases and indulging in profanity. He undergoes a major transition as people around him help him see the world with a pair of new eyes.
Before ‘After Life Season 3’ premieres, you must know that Tony is probably the only one who has no idea about what to do with his newfound love, nurse Emma. Everybody has either found their partners or rekindled an old flame and Tony is left with his only pal Brandy, his dog.

After Life Season 3: Release Date
In an interview, Ricky said, “For the first time ever, I would do a series three, because the world’s so rich, I love the characters, I love all the actors in it, I love my character, I love the town, I love the themes… I love the dog!”
“So I would do a third, but it’s got to be a real demanded-for encore. I’m not gonna just do it. “ the showrunner continued.
He also added —“I wouldn’t do it for the sake of it. I wouldn’t do it just to get paid, or because they [Netflix] want another three hours on their platform. It’s got to be that people really want more. It’s a really daunting task, a third series… so it’s really got to be wanted.”
The show doesn’t exactly have an official release date as of now since the Pandemic has caused a global crisis. But it is stipulated that the show will go on to its third season for sure as the creator- Ricky Gervais has just signed the deal with Netflix.
Nonetheless, you can expect the fresh batch of episodes for After Life Season 3, by the spring of 2021.
After Life Season 3: Plot
This season will probably pick up from where Season 2 left off. Tony is now a new man with a fresh look of the world and subtly healthy coping mechanism. Since Tony has developed feelings for Nurse Emma, we still do not know how that storyline is going to have an arc. So, who will Tony end up with, in the story? Does he finally get the courage to confront his feelings or is he going to stay quiet?
Apart from this, his coworkers are also being very helpful in assisting him. After Life Season 3 will also depict Tony dealing with his romantic feelings and handling new friendships.
