AMC network finally renewed Better Call Saul for the sixth and the final season. Jimmy McGill is only a few short moments away from becoming Saul Godman, the man we first meet in Breaking Bad.
But how will the story come full circle and blend in with Breaking Bad? THT brings to you an exclusive take on ‘How Close We Are To Breaking Bad?’
Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the release of Better Call Saul Season 6:
Release Date of Better Call Saul Season 6:
The show’s season 6 had already begun filming in February 2020, but due to the dangerous and challenging times we are facing, as of now, all production has been halted. The show will only re-start filming when there is no risk to the cast and crew working on it.
We presumed that the show would roll out with a fresh batch of episodes by 2021, but due to the Coronavirus, the dates have been pushed back to the second half of 2021.
How many episodes will Better Call Saul Season 6 have:
There will be thirteen, 47 minute long episodes in the final season of Better Call Saul. The disclaimers and synopsis of the episodes are yet to be announced, so we will need to wait just a little longer.
It is said that the show will end with its 63rd episode, which is one more than Breaking Bad had. So, this should give the prequel series plenty of time to tie up all its loose ends and set up the story for Breaking Bad.
What is the plot of Better Call Saul Season 6:
The plot of this season is still under wraps, but even then fans can make guesses based on “Something Unforgivable”. So, in Season 6, we may see Lalo setting out for revenge against Nacho and Gus after a failed assassination.
“Just tell me what you want!… It wasn’t me; it was Ignacio!” Even though Lalo or Nacho do not appear in Breaking Bad, this dialogue may ring a bell with some of you. Only the fans who religiously watched Better Call Saul will know that Nacho’s first name is Ignacio!
Although fans know that Gus will go on to live because he is a part of Breaking Bad, they are curious to find out what will happen to Nacho and Lalo. Will they survive, and what does the final season have in store for these two characters?
Speaking to Deadline, star Bob Odenkirk described season five as “the best season we’ve ever done,” so the final season will have some pretty big shoes to fill.
