The CD Projekt has a habit of leaving us longing for high quality, properly developed role-play games. Being the producers of the critically acclaimed Witcher series. The developer first introduced Cyberpunk 2077 back in 2012, and life hasn’t been the same since! Here is everything that you need to know about the game.
When will Cyberpunk 2077 be released?
After the first announcement at the CD Projekt RED’s summer conference in 2012, the game has been in development for more than 8 years now. Although, a CGI trailer was shared with the world in 2013, which left fans going berserk for Cyberpunk 2077.
There are speculations that the game will be released in September 2020. However, there are possibilities that the release could be postponed due to the change in console generations.
Cyberpunk 2077 Plot/Storyline
The game, being an adaptation of the pen and paper game Cyberpunk 2020, is set in the year 2077, in a megalopolis, called Night City. The player plays the character of V, whose gender can be customized to be male or female, according to user preferences. In a nutshell, the game revolves around V, who tries to escape the poor, lower section of filth so as to make an identity.
Mainly, there are three playable classes, but not limited to it. Netrunners who are hackers, Techies who are crafting specialists and Solos who play lone mercenaries. Depending on the class chosen, the story evolves, thus indicating the presence of multiple endings. The place where the game starts also varies from class to class. Other classes include Rockerboys, Nomads and Journalists.
There are five main characters that are known to us according to what the CD Projekt has released. Jackie Welles is a mercenary. Dexter DeShawn, a Fixer who is most sought after for illegal exchanges and organizing dirty work. Royce is the gang leader of Maelstrom which steals tech by raiding huge corporations. Doctor Victor is the doctor who typically heals you, as well as repairs broken cyberware. Lastly, Meredith Stout, a Millitech corp agent, a bigshot who hates people from the Night City, or as a matter of fact, anybody from the lower classes.
As we all know that the CD Projekt does not compromise when it comes to quality, we can never be accurate in our predictions. But we do hope to see the game out in stores soon! You can also preorder the game now for Windows, Xbox One and PlayStation.
