The movie is set in the distant future and features different houses that are in control of different territories, the lead character of the story is Paul Atreides, Pauls’s family is in control of the planet Arrakis. The isolated planet is invaluable as it contains a drug that gives mental abilities and extends life known as “the spice”.
The availability of the drug means that the planet is very envied by other houses and after former stewards of Arrakis, from the House known as Harkonnen, betray the ruling family, Paul has to set on a path to rebel against the rulers and help his family regain control of the planet.
