The split of The Avengers in different directions, at the end of Avengers: Endgame has left a huge void in all of us. Marvel Studios knew this all along, which is exactly the reason why they have decided to include TV shows too in Phase 4! Five shows have been confirmed by Marvel, set to be released on Disney+ in the upcoming years. Falcon and the Winter Soldier is first in line! And we at The Hollywood Tribune have here everything you need to know about Falcon And The Winter Soldier Season 1.
Just because it’s a TV series, it does not mean that it has to be filmed like one. Falcon and the Winter Soldier Season 1, which is set after the events of Endgame, is reported to have been filmed exactly like a Marvel movie with a whopping budget of almost $25 million per episode.
Falcon and the Winter Soldier Season 1 Plot:
The series highlights the lives of Sam, better known as Falcon and the Winter Soldier AKA Bucky Barnes after Steve Rogers went into retirement mode, passing his shield to his faithful companion Sam. They are met with an entity that is not new to the MCU- Baron Zemo, the successor of a Nazi Scientist. The last time Zemo was shown, he was captured and in prison. Being responsible for the rift between Captain America and Iron Man in Civil War, the return of Zemo surely means trouble.
Falcon and the Winter Soldier Season 1: Cast
We are sure to see a lot of familiar faces in the show, starting from Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan, who will be reprising their roles as Sam and Bucky. But they aren’t the only actors who are returning for Falcon and the Winter Soldier Season 1. As revealed by showrunners, the series also features the return of Daniel Bruhl (as the evil-minded Zemo) and Emily VanCamp (as Agent Sharon Carter).
The show also has some new cast members like Wyatt Russell, who will be playing the US government’s knock-off version of the now-retired Captain America. Other cast members that have been revealed are Noah Mills and Carl Lumby. The characters that the actors will be playing are yet to be revealed.
Falcon and the Winter Soldier Season 1: Release Date
The show was initially scheduled to be released in August 2020. The crew had almost finished filming for the show too, right when the pandemic hit, bringing everything to an abrupt halt. There is a high possibility that the release could be postponed by the producers, although nothing has been confirmed yet. But no matter what, the show will not be cancelled, as mentioned by Sebastian Stan on The Tonight’s Show.
