We are super psyched about how The Marvel Cinematic Universe will unfurl its Phase 4. Everything that happens will be as a result of the aftermath of Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far from Home. With Marvel’s The Eternals coming to theatres soon, we will gain more insight about what exactly MCU has planned for the Phase 4.
Recently, the cast for Marvel’s new intergalactic franchise was formulated, and you are surely going to get roped in. We know you how much you love the Guardians of the Galaxy, but Phase 4 brings you the new set of superheroes who are way more powerful than the former heroes.
The shooting of the film wrapped up earlier this year in February and will hit the big screens soon. It is directed by Chloé Zhao who has previously worked on award-winning films like ‘The Rider’ and ‘Songs My Brother Taught Me’. It looks like Marvel’s Phase 4 has women in the lead and it is cool to watch them being badasses in the limelight.
Here’s everything that you need to know about Marvel’s The Eternals ahead of its release:
Release Date Of Marvel’s The Eternals:
The film was scheduled to premiere on November 6, 2020, but with Black Widow being pushed back due to the Pandemic, Marvel’s The Eternals too was inadvertently pushed back due to the closure of movie theatres.
The new release date for the premiere is February 12, 2021, and we can only hope that the film does not experience a further delay in releasing.
The Cast Of Marvel’s The Eternals:
We are absolutely thrilled to see the A list Stars joining the new band of superheroes in the MCU. What we know so far is— Kumail Nanjiani plays Kingo, Brian Tyree Henry is playing Phastos, Lia McHugh as Sprite, an ancient Eternal in the body of a child and Barry Keoghan will be seen as Druig. Marvel Phase 4 is revolutionary as it will have Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, the MCU’s first deaf superhero, and Salma Hayek as Ajak, leader of the Eternals.
Angelina Jolie has joined the cast of Marvel Superheroes, and she will play Thena, who is known for her fighting prowess and knowledge; a warrior in the MCU. We hope she does justice to the role. She is inspired by the Greek Goddess Athena.
Apart from that, we have the siblings from Game of Thrones, one of them died tragically at the ‘Red Wedding’, and the other one ‘Knows Nothing’.
You guessed it, Richard Madden and Kit Harington have recently been added into the MCU, and they will be playing Ikaris and Black Knight respectively. The former has numerous abilities( psychic, cosmic energy manipulation, strength, durability, healing factor, and flight) while we do not know much about the special powers of Black Knight.
The Plot Of Marvel’s The Eternals:
The film is based on a world created by Jack Kirby; comics legend in 1976. The Eternals are a species of powerful immortals who were created by the Celestials (they were previously introduced in Guardians of the Galaxy film). The Eternals were trapped in an endless war with The Deviants, who are a lot like them but their destructive counterparts.
Trailer And First Look Of Marvel’s The Eternals:
The film is in the post-production stage. The first look of Phase 4 will drop soon, and till then, you just have to keep waiting!
