‘The Eternals’ is a forthcoming American superhero and adventure film produced by the Marvel studios. The film is based on a comic written by Jack Kirby in the year 1976. In his book, The Eternals are described as immortal cosmic beings who look exactly like humans, but held supernatural powers and have been living on Earth for over a thousand years, by keeping their powers and origin a secret.
They were said to have been created by the celestials. In the meantime, the celestials also created the deviants, who are grotesque and can transmute according to their will. There is no doubt that the film is definitely going to be more fascinating!
The Eternals Release Date:
Earlier the film was supposed to release in November 2020, but owing to the global pandemic, the dates were postponed. And now the film will be in theatres from February 12, 2021 in the U.S.

The Eternals Cast:
As the Marvel Cinematic Universe is set to launch a new group of superheroes, it’s obvious that people are very excited about it. The film will feature the A-listers from Hollywood. Angelina Jolie, will play the role of an eternal warrior Thena (the elder daughter of Zuras, leader of the Eternals of Earth).
She is described as a “fierce warrior”, Richard Madden will play the role of Ikaris – a robust eternal, Gemma Chen as Sersi – will play the role of a human-kind loving eternal, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari – an Eternal who is super-fast, Salma Hayek as Ajak – the sagacious leader of the Eternals, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos – an Eternal who is an intelligent inventor.
Lia McHugh as Sprite – an Eternal who is eternally young, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo – an Eternal with cosmic powers who becomes a Bollywood star to blend in on earth. Barry Keoghan as Druig – an Eternal who doesn’t like to socialize with people, Kit Harington as Dane Whiteman – a human who “wields a mystical sword” and others.
The Eternals Plot:
As mentioned in the beginning, the movie centres on the Eternals – the immortal aliens created by the Celestials, will come together to save the human beings from the wrath of their famous enemies – the Deviants, in order to create harmony and peace on earth.
There will be a battle between the Eternals and the deviants– as both have superhuman abilities, it is difficult to predict who will win the battle and how it will end. This will also be the first movie under marvel cinematic universe to feature a gay couple – Brian Tyree Henry (phastos) and Haaz Sleiman (as his husband).
Director Chloe Zhao said at Comic-Con that, “It’s not about this group of incredible immortals but through their journey that we really get to explore what it means to be human. And humanity. And our time on this planet.”

There is a possibility that there is a connection between the Eternals and Thanos as he belongs to a race of superhumans who are known as the titanian Eternals and they also possess somewhat similar powers and abilities.
