Oh boy, did you watch the trailer for The Kissing booth 2? If you haven’t, well, let me just say that you are missing out. Being a sucker for rom-coms, I’ve been waiting for the Kissing Booth 2 for-ever. A sequel for The Kissing Booth was confirmed back in February 2019 and Netflix is finally releasing it to make my summers happy and bearable. Sigh!
Being the nerd that I am, I have actually read the books first and trust me; this movie will knock on the most basic emotions of the heart, hilariously.
The Kissing Booth 2 Release date:

While doing a puzzle in quarantine (who among us), King revealed that The Kissing Booth 2 will be released on July 24, 2020. Yay!
Vince Marcello is returning as director, writer, and producer on the movie.
The Kissing Booth 2 Cast:

Based on Beth Reekles’ novel The Kissing Booth 2: Going the Distance, the movie is going to be an absolute delight! The film stars Joey King (Elle), Joel Courtney (Lee), Jacob Elordi (Noah) and Taylor Perez (Marco). Also returning are Molly Ringwald (Mrs Flynn), Meganne Young (Rachel) and Bianca Bosch (Olivia).
One thing’s for sure though, the ceremonial kissing booth is back, but wait, is that Elle kissing someone other than Noah?!
What To Expect From The Kissing Booth 2?

In the first film, Elle and Lee being BFFs made some strict* rules to protect each other. Mainly not to date each other’s relatives. Noah, Lee’s older brother is the textbook definition of Bad-boy. And we all know that spells trouble.
Elle falls in love with Noah, despite the fact that he was strictly off-limits. That sure was fun to watch. We, humans, have the tendency to do things that we are told not to, but then Forbidden fruit is the sweetest *wink* *wink*.
The movie follows Elle, a pretty, late-bloomer who’s never-been-kissed. When she decides to run a kissing booth at her high school’s Spring Carnival, she unexpectedly finds herself locking lips with her secret crush, Noah Flynn.
The Kissing Booth 2 suggests new hurdles for Elle and Noah. But hey, there are good things too. With more Dance Dance Revolution battles. Joey King revealed to the LA Times that they’re even more intense than before: “It is so intense and the first movie you thought we had hard DDR, well, just you freaking wait for the second one,” she said.
The sequel also sees Marco (Taylor Perez) and Chloe (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) who may get in the way of Elle and Noah’s strained relationship. Add on the distance and boom. You have a film that appeals to the teenage crowd way too much.
While running a stall which involves kissing strangers now sounds like a nightmare due to Coronavirus, it was one of the best things Elle did…or was it? Elle is not sure of Noah anymore and yeah, it breaks our hearts too.
The Kissing Booth 2 Trailer:
The trailer for The Kissing Booth 2 was released on 6th July 2020. Also, Netflix released a recap for The Kissing Booth on the same date.
Now that Noah has left for Harvard, Elle is in her senior year and is trying to make it long distance with him. Will their relationship survive? Or will the different zip codes break them…automatically?
Decisions are getting harder for Elle with her struggling to pick where to go for college – her dream school Berkeley with her best friend, or Harvard with Noah?
I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens. For a quick recap of The Kissing Booth, read our article here!
