The Walking Dead still has a few loose ends, which suggests that Season 10 should be able to wrap them up. Although there is still a lot more to tell on the AMC show, it hasn’t stopped fans from prophesying the end of the show for once and for all.
Showrunner Angela Kang dropped a hint to the Entertainment Weekly saying that the war will finally be over in Season 10. She also added that there are some things in the show that could feel like a finale, smack in the middle of the back half. It could mean that the Whisperer War may not last for that long!
But, there has never a battle without blood splatter on our screens and the unfortunate deaths of some of our favourite characters.
Here are some of the most popular Fan theories and Predictions of The Walking Dead Season 10:
1.Carol and Alpha’s Showdown
If Carol has to avenge Henry’s death, she needs to stop acting like she’s defeated and find a way to get out of Alpha’s trap in the cave. She must play it smart if she wants to get to Alpha, and she has to understand that vengeance will lead her nowhere. There’s a good chance that shi*t will go down between Carol and Alpha.
2. Ezekiel Will Die
According to the comics, Ezekiel becomes one of the victims of the massacre at the Kingdom Fair. We are still seeing him alive on the show, but it is about time he kicked the bucket. He goes on to reveal that he has cancer and leaves everyone shocked. Ezekiel then sleeps with Carol one last time and makes amends with Daryl.
So, it does feel like he will meet his fate in the battle.
3. Eugene Dies
On the show, Eugene seems far too happy with life right now. And we know what happens to a character when they get too satisfied and comfortable, it depends on the direction The Walking Dead Season 10 will go.
He has been this way ever since he found a connection with Stephanie over the radio. He will go on to connect a new group of people to the communities. But that’s what happens in the comics. On the show, Eugene might not make it to his date with Stephanie in West Virginia.
4. It was all a dream!
One of the most popular The Walking Dead Season 10 fan theories goes on to reveal that Rick was in a coma and discovers that everything that happened was just a dream. He sees Carl, Lori, and Shane, who had been continuously popping in to check on him.
Even if this theory holds good, it won’t do well with the fans as they are bound to feel cheated. We don’t want the fiasco that ensued after Game of Thrones Season 8. If this ever happened with TWD, the series will go down as one of the trashiest shows ever.
5. Everybody gets the infection (Highly Possible)
The Walking Dead Season 10 could end with everyone infected with the virus and the zombie outbreak continuing in full swing.
At some point, every character is bound to fall victim to the contamination, and it seems inevitable as there is no cure in sight so far. It is only about time till the apocalypse goes full circle with no characters making it out alive.
6. The last walker gets brain stabbed
The series could potentially end with the last walker biting the dust. The group knows everyone has contracted the infection and it implies that they will die with a swift knife blow to the brain so that they do not turn into nasty flesh-eating monsters.
So, the end of The Walking Dead Season 10 could be with the survivors making it out alive, and a few staggering walkers left.
7. Kids make the new world
Maybe they contained the outbreak, and The Walking Dead Season 10 could take us to a flash-forward kind of ending where the survivors are the adults we love so much, who are now frail and old. Meanwhile, the kids, including Judith, R.J., Hershel, Coco, and others are the ones working towards re-building society.
Our prediction says that Judith will start her own family and have a son named Carl, Michonne will be old by then and she will be cradling her grandchild while uncle Daryl comes to visit and together, they look at the grave of uncle Ezekiel.
