The first season of Netflix’s Trinkets was a big hit, and with the show’s success led to fans, as usual, asking for a second season. The teenage drama show follows a group of three friends who come across each other at a Shoplifters Anonymous meeting. Trinkets is based on a 2013 novel by Kirsten Smith and stars Linda Gase as its showrunner.
The first season ended on a cliff-hanger with Elodie, Moe and Tabitha moving on with their lives, as they successfully managed to escape the consequences of stealing of what they thought was Brady’s car. They may have gone scot-free, but darker times may lie ahead in the second season of this show.
Trinkets Season 2: Release Date
The second hits Netflix on 25th August 2020. The first season of the show aired on 14th June 2019, and with the fans overwhelming response, the show was expected to be renewed for a second season.
The teenage drama show was renewed for a second season in July 2019, but the sad news is that Trinkets Season 2 will also be the show’s last season. A Source revealed that “Netflix wanted to let viewers know upfront that there would not be a third season” and added that season two will “provide a natural conclusion to the story”.
Trinkets Season 2: Cast
Obviously, all of your favourite characters will be back. We will see Brianna Hildebrand playing Elodie Davis, Kiana Madeira playing Moe Truax and Quintessa Swindell playing Tabitha Foster.
Additional cast will include Henry Zaga as Luca, Odiseas Georgiadis as Noah, Brandon Butler as Brady, Larry Sullivan as Doug, Elodie’s father, Dana Green and Parker Hall as Elodie’s stepmother, Jenna and stepbrother, Spencer respectively.
We will also see October Moore as Moe’s mother, Vicky, Linden Ashby as Tabitha’s father, Whit and Katrina Cunningham as Sabine.
Trinkets Season 2: Plot
At the end of the first season, the fans of the show saw Elodie run away from home after her father told her that she was going to be sent to a treatment centre in Seattle to overcome her shoplifting addiction. While Tabitha ignored Brady’s warnings and stole his car, Moe finally did manage to steal a bottle of tequila from a shop.
The lead trio was asked about their characters and what they would like to see in Trinkets Season 2 and here’s what they had to say.
Brianna Hildebrand wants her character Elodie to blossom and “own a little bit more of who she is… with pride, not anxiety”.
Kiana Madeira hopes it “involves romance and emotional honestly” and “developing a close relationship to her family”.
Quintessa Swindell wants her character, Tabitha, to “convey different ideas to the people around her rather than keeping things bottled up”.
Trinkets Season 2: Trailer
